Mystic Aquarium
Join us for a trip to the Mystic Aquarium on Saturday, August 28 or Saturday, September 4.
A chartered bus will leave Boston at 9:00 a.m. (Meet in front of the New England Aquarium at 8:45 a.m.)
This special tour includes a wine and cheese reception with the Mystic Aquarium penguins and special presentations throughout the day.
The tour leaves the Mystic Aquarium at 5:00 p.m. and returns guests to the New England Aquarium.
The cost per person is $42.00

Birding at the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge

Join us for a birding field trip to the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge on Massachusetts' North Shore to explore Plum Islands' varied habitats (e.g., salt marshes, freshwater impoundments, maritime forests). Target birds will include many species of shorebirds (e.g., Greater and Lesser Yellowlegs, White-rumped Sandpiper, Semipalmated and Blackbellied Plovers), egrets and heron and a wide variety of passerines. Conditions permitting, participants will also visit Massachusetts Audubon's Joppa Flats Bird Banding Station on the Refuge to watch how birds are captured and analyzed before being released back into the wild. During 12 years of operation, station staff and volunteers have banded more than 27,000 birds and 117 species. For more information click here.
Tour leader Dr. David Larson is the Education Coordinator and Director of the Refuge Visitor's Center Birder's Certificate Program.
All participants should wear clothing appropriate for the weather conditions and prepare for exposure to sun and insects.
$60 per-person fee includes:

Whale Watch Excursion
The New England Aquarium is offering discounted tickets for a whale watch excursion on Sunday, August 29 at 10:00 a.m. for
International Penguin Conference attendees.
Join the crew of experienced naturalists aboard Voyager III and visit Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary, rich feeding grounds of whales, dolphins, sea birds and other marine life. The trip lasts about 4 hours.
The cost of the tour will be $28.30 per person.
